Classification by yarn Material

Pure spinning Pure spinning is a yarn spun from a fiber material, such as cotton yarn, wool yarn, linen and spun silk.

This kind of yarn is suitable for making pure textile products.

Blended yarn Blended yarn is a yarn spun by two or more fibers, such as blended yarn of polyester and cotton, wool and viscose blended yarns.

This type of yarn is used to highlight the advantages of two fibres of fabric.

Classification by yarn Thickness

Coarse Special yarn Coarse yarn refers to 32 and above (Imperial 18 British and below) of the yarn.

This kind of yarn is suitable for coarse and thick fabric, such as tweed, coarse flat cloth and so on.

Medium Special Yarn Medium Special Yarn refers to 21-32 Special (British 19-28 British) yarn.

This kind of yarn is suitable for medium and thick fabric, such as medium level cloth, gabardine, khaki etc.

Fine Special Yarn Fine yarn refers to 11-20 Special (English 29-54 British) yarn.

This kind of yarn is suitable for fine thin fabric, such as fine cloth, poplin and so on.

Extra Fine Special yarn Special fine yarn refers to 10 special and the following (English 58 British and above) yarn.

This kind of yarn is suitable for high-grade fine fabric, such as high shirt, worsted sweater and so on.

Classification by spinning system

Fine Spinning Fine spinning is also called combed yarn, refers to the yarn through the combing process, including combed cotton yarn and combed wool yarn. The yarn has high parallel straightness, uniform and smooth evenness, but higher cost and higher yarn support.

Combed yarn is mainly used for advanced fabrics and knitwear materials, such as Polynosic, gabardine, tweed, woolen sweater and so on.

Coarse spinning Coarse spinning is also called coarse comb wool yarn or combed cotton yarn, refers to the general spinning system to comb, not through the combing process spun yarn. Coarse spinning has many short fiber content, low fiber parallel straightness, loose structure, more wool, lower yarn support and poorer quality.

This kind of yarn is used for general fabrics and knitwear materials, such as woolen fabric, medium and above cotton fabric.

Waste spinning Waste spinning refers to the use of textile scraps (waste cotton) or mixed with low-grade raw materials spun yarn.

Poor yarn quality, soft, dry unevenness, with heteropoly, poor color, generally used only to weave coarse blanket, thick flannel and packaging cloth and other low-grade fabrics.

Classification by Spinning method

Ring spun yarn Ring-spun yarn is a yarn made by twisting the traditional spinning method on the ring spinning frame. Yarn in the fiber inside and outside the winding connection, the yarn structure is tight, strong, but because of the same time by a set of mechanisms to complete twisting and winding work, so the production efficiency is limited.

This type of yarn is widely used in all kinds of fabrics, pieces of fabric, rope belt.

Free End Yarn

The free end yarn refers to the spinning cup in the high speed rotating or in the electrostatic field to make the fiber condensed and twist into yarn, the yarn twisting and winding effect by different parts are completed, thus high efficiency, low cost.

Airflow yarn The airflow yarn is also called rotor spinning, which uses the airflow to condense and twist the fiber in the spinning cup of high speed rotating yarn. Yarn structure than ring yarn fluffy, wear-resistant, dry uniform, dyeing more brightly, but low strength.

This type of yarn is mainly used in woven fabrics, such as thick flat cloth, feel good velvet and knitted fabrics.

Electrostatic yarn Electrostatic yarn is the use of electrostatic field to condense the fiber and twist the yarn made.

The yarn structure is the same as the airflow yarn, and the use is similar to the airflow yarn.

Eddy Current Yarn Eddy Current yarn is used as a stationary vortex spinning tube, instead of spinning in a high-speed rotating cup spinning yarn. The yarn has more bending fiber, lower strength and better evenness, but the dyeing and wear resistance are good.

This kind of yarn is used for the fleece fabric, such as fleece, sportswear and so on.

Dust cage Yarn Dust cage yarn also known as friction spinning, is the use of a pair of dust cage on the fiber to condense and twist spinning yarn. Yarn is layered structure, yarn core twist big, feel hard, outer twist small, feel softer.

This type of yarn is mainly used in industrial textiles, decorative fabrics, also used in coats (such as overalls, protective clothing).

Non-free End yarn Non-free end yarn is another kind of yarn which is spun by a new spinning method which is different from the free end yarn, that is, in the process of twisting the fiber, the ends of the fiber strip are held, not the free end.

This new type of yarn includes self twisting yarn, jet yarn and core spun yarn.

Self-twisting yarn Self-twisting yarn is a new type of non free end yarn, it is through the reciprocating movement of the roller to the two yarn strip applied to add twist, when the yarn parallel snapping, by its back twist rotation force, twisted into yarn. This yarn twist unevenness, in a yarn has no twist section exists, thus the yarn strong low.

Suitable for the production of wool yarn and chemical fiber yarn, used in color fabric and suede fabric is more suitable.

Jet yarn Jet yarn is the use of compressed air generated by high-speed jet vortex, the yarn to apply twisting, after wrapping and kink and spun yarn. The yarn structure is unique, the yarn core is almost no twist, the outsourced fiber is randomly wrapped, the yarn is loose, the handle is rough, and the strength is low.

This type of yarn can be machined with woven fabrics and knitted fabrics, made of men's and women's blouses, shirts, sportswear and overalls.

Core Wrap Yarn Core-spun yarn is a filament for the core, the outsourcing of short fibers spun yarn, with yarn-core filament and the advantages of short fiber outsourcing, so that the yarn performance over a single fiber. Commonly used yarn-core filament has polyester filament, nylon wire, spandex filament, the outsourcing of staple fiber commonly used cotton, polyester/cotton, acrylic, wool and so on. Core-spun yarn is mainly used as sewing thread, shirt fabric, rotten flower fabric and elastic fabric.
